Zoroark Cosplay 1 by Toriroz Zoroark Cosplay 1 by Toriroz
My finished Zoroark cosplay! Finished at 4am the night before Jafax XD Turned out amazing and I won 1st place in the journeyman craftsmanship in the masquerade! :D so happy right now. I will post more pictures when I can upload them. I have some great ones from a photoshoot. And yes, we took and RV to the convention, which was the BEST way to travel for sure! ^_^ <3 I will be going to Youmacon this year also.

This cosplay was completely hand crafted by me. Complete WIP can be see here [link]

I want a Pikachu pokemon suit. WOuld you say this was really hard to make? I'm an okay sewer wiht a machine that is quite hard to load. I'm also on a quite small budget, so i'm wondering if it would be harder to mak one, or buy one.

Personally, I don't find it hard to make, just very expensive and time consuming, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would disagree. If you take your time and try to be neat and have a steady hand, the outcome will be much better. If I was to make the same costume for a customer, I would charge upwards of $1500 for this particular one.

0_o that is quite alot of money! for making a simpler one (i.e. Pikachu), how much do you think it would cost?

depends on what proportions you want, and how accurate to the character. Somewhere between 900-1500 If you have a reference picture, I could make a more accurate pricing.

yeah, its not going to be that complex.

BTw, what density of foam do you use (like from one to 5)

I don't know the density rating, very dense though. I buy the green foam from Joanne's and white foam from foam-n-more in Troy, MI and neither of them give density ratings.

hmmm, and how much does it usually cost per yard/meter/whatever mesurment you buy it by? (the only craft/hobby/hardware stores in my town that would amybe sell foam are Fabric land, Creative zone and canadian tire. Or maybe RONA, i don't know.

Tori, your work is just beautiful.

I've seen some attempts at Zoroark, but yours takes the cake. Everything is just absolutely perfect!
I hope you post a youtube video in the near future so we can get a better feel for the overall costume ^^

*applauds*

It has three beach balls and padding to round it out so it is very light and it is attached to straps to hold it up :)
